Please line up in the area according to the color of your assigned race number (see color assignments below). Your bib number will also match the color of your assigned corral. PLEASE GO TO THE APPROPRIATE START AREA. Doing otherwise can prove unsafe as faster runners try to pass in very congested areas.NEW WAVE START
Runners will be moved forward by volunteers to the actual starting area at 3 min incremements. The race will begin EXACTLY at 8:00am for Elites, Group A & Group B. Group C will start at 8:03am and each consecutive group will begin 3 mins after. Depending on your location, it may take a few minutes for you to actually reach the start. Be patient and courteous. There will be a large running digital clock at the start line. Deduct the time on that clock from your overall time to determine your actual finishing time or check your *chip time*. Everyone will be chipped and timed. Chip Time will be used this year for the official results (not Gun Time). For more information regarding your timing chip, click here.Walkers are a great part of the Classic. We ask that walkers be particularly aware of those trying to pass. Please be considerate of not lining up more than two abreast. All walkers will begin at 8:30am, and will be lined up on Sugar Bowl Dr.
Note: All chip timing begins when you cross the start and finish lines. You are NOT penalized for starting near the rear. Slower runners and walkers present a danger to themselves and others when they try to start near the front. Please be courteous to your fellow participants.
