CRESCENT CITY CLASSIC COUNTDOWN:

Update on Esplanade Ave

Beginning March 11th twelve badly patched areas of Esplanade Avenue will stripped off.  These areas will be removed down to the subsurface.  They will then be filled with gravel and other particulate.  Concrete will be poured over the gravel and allowed to cure.  Finally, after curing, black top will be laid down over the concrete.  This process should be completed well ahead of the 35th Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic and all four lanes of Esplanade Avenue will be open from Decatur Street to Moss Street.
