NEW PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT WITH MICHELOB ULTRA

Iconic race also introduces new course layout and new start design.

“In New Orleans, we love to train, run, then party,” said Eric Stuart, Race Director of the Crescent City Classic. “Michelob ULTRA is absolutely the beverage of choice for the running community. You don’t want a heavy beer after running a 10K. ULTRA is what most runners want after an event, and we are excited to have Michelob ULTRA join the Classic. The 2013 Michelob ULTRA Race Fest is going to be the best post-party we have ever produced.”

“Michelob ULTRA and Southern Eagle are proud to support the Crescent City Classic,” said Jerry Peters, Marketing Manager, Southern Eagle Distributor. “The Classic, like Michelob ULTRA, embodies the perfect balance of hard work and fun, and after months of training and a great 10K, we look forward to toasting the competitors with a cold Michelob ULTRA.”

The Classic has improved the course and the start of the race for its 35th year.  The new start will be at the corner Loyola and Poydras, with participants lining up in front of the Superdome. “We will have 14 corrals based on running time.  Walkers and strollers will start after all runners. We will use 14 individual wave starts,” Stuart says, “With a more organized start, people who want to run will be able to run, and walkers will be able to walk.” After the race, participants will enjoy the post-party with free food, free Michelob ULTRA and free music by Papa Grows Funk followed by Marc Broussard.
