About the “RUN FOR IT” Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic Official Charity Program
The goal of the Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic Official Charity Program is to raise $1 million annually, and serve the Greater New Orleans area needs. The funds and positive impact are important to the success of the Crescent City Fitness Foundation’s mission, and the Classic is proud to support these charities and their fundraising endeavors.
This is our first year for the “Run For It” Official Charity Program and we are proud to announce a great group of approved Charity Partners. To help initiate the program this year, the Crescent City Fitness Foundation is donating 1000 “Run For It” bibs to participating Charity Partners. Each Charity Partner will sign up interested runners and fundraisers who will commit to raising a minimum of $200 with the individual goal of raising $620 ($100/mile). All registration, fund solicitation, and Charity Partner selection is organized at ccc10k.com
HOW IT WORKS
- Choose a Charity to run & fundraise for from the list of our 2013 Charity Partners below
- Email the contact person for your chosen Charity (listed below their logo) for a code to register online for free as a Charity Runner
- Go to our registration site: ccc10k.eventbrite.com and type in your Charity's code
- Commit to raising $200 for your Charity
- Direct friends and family to: runforit.eventbrite.com to donate to your Charity on your behalf
- Pick up your bib number (in the normal number pick up area) at the Expo and have fun!
Everyone is welcome! Seeded runners can use the code "charityseeded" to run for any of our participating Charities below and will still be placed in a seeded corrals!

Hospice Associates Foundation was incorporated on May 30, 2007. The mission of this
foundation is to improve the quality of life and assist persons affected by a terminal illness in hospice
by providing education, advocacy and support services. The goals of this foundation are: to
educate the public on hospice care and issues and needs of the terminally ill and caregivers dealing with
the situation as well as educate the public on death and dying issues, grief issues and bereavement, to be
a resource for the community seeking information about hospice care and choices when working with a
life threatening illness, grief, and bereavement, and to assist hospice patients and caregivers to meet some
of the needs that may occur while in the hospice program such as medications, supplies, sitters, food
supplements, rental assistance, utility bill assistance, etc. By assisting with some of these needs the foundation
can reduce worry and concerns for the patient and caregiver so they may focus on quality time with each other.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health ageny dedicated
to blood cancer. The mission of LLS is: Cure Leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and
improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Created 25 years ago, The Leukemia & Lymphoma
Society's (LLS) Team In Training (TNT), has grown to be the world's largest and most successful endurance
sports charity training program. Since it's inception the program has helped more than 570,000 participants at

St. Tammany Cancer Fund is a locally based charitable/nonprofit organization established in 2002
that is committed to meeting the needs of cancer patients and survivors in the Northshore region. In
addition to funding academic scholarships for students who have been directly impacted by cancer,
STCF raises funds for patient and family services as well as other appropriate humanitarian needs,
with a specific focus on the Northshore.

About Susan G Komen for the Cure and the Komen New Orleans Affiliate
Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to
end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the
global breast cancer movement. The New Orleans Affiliate of Komen for the Cure is working to better the
lives of those facing breast cancer in the local community. They join more than a million breast cancer
survivors and activists around the globe as part of the world's largest and most progressive grassroots
network fighting breast cancer. Through events like the Komen New Orleans Race for the Cure, the New
Orleans Affiliate has invested $3.4 million to local breast health programs in Orleans, Jefferson, Plaquemines,
St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. John the Baptist, St. Tammany and Washington parishes. Seventy Five percent
(75%) of the funds we raise will fund local breast cancer programs; the remaining twenty five (25%) wll support

Founded in 1866, Volunteers of America is a national, non-profit, spiritually based organization
providing local human service programs and opportunities for individuals and community
involvement. Locally, Volunteers of Amerca reache out to more than 65,000 individuals per year
in a 16 parish area with quality services including programs for children, youth, the elderly,
families, offenders, individuals suffering from substance abuse, individuals who are intellectuallly and/or
physically disabled, homeless and persons who are suffering with mental illness. With the help of a

The Youth Leadership Council (YLC) is a non-profit, non-partisan civic organization created to

the YLC recruits and retains young professionals to New Orleans and has a positive impact on

Our official “Run For It” Charities are accepting runner applications now for the March 30th 2013 Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic. All charities offer unique training and fundraising programs, however, all will require a minimum fundraising donation of $200.
Please contact the official charity you wish to advocate for directly for more information. If your charity of choice is not an official “Run For It” Charity, please note that there will not be any opportunity for them to receive a number for you to fundraise on their behalf.
If you are a 2013 Charity Runner, updates on who has donated for you & how much you have raised thus far will be batched and updated weekly. You can find a complete list at the link below your Charity's logo.
The Crescent City Fitness Foundation assists many charitable organizations for the 2013 Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic by providing guaranteed entries for their organization’s fund raising purposes and, in the spirit of charity, encourages all qualified runners to aid in these efforts.
Together these charities hope to raise well over $1 Million for the Greater New Orleans Area this year.
