Celebration in the Oaks Run/Walk
This year's Allstate Sugar Bowl Celebration in the Oaks Run/Walk is

The Allstate Sugar Bowl Celebration in the Oaks Run/Walk gives locals the chance to participate in one of the most festive holiday events in the country! The day is filled with cocoa, visits with Santa and much more. This 2-mile course is especially popular with families. Many of those running and walking this event do so with strollers or children right by their side. Participants can enjoy themselves at the post-race party and also head into the the Walking Tour of the beautifully decorated Botanical Garden, Storyland and Carousel Gardens. This event gives participants a chance to see the Celebration in the Oaks Light Display before the gates are open to the general public. The Park is decorated with over 500,000 lights!
Course Map + Parking
All event activites take place on Victory Avenue, inside the Great Lawn (across from Storyland). Parking is FREE, but limited inside the park. Parking is also available on both Marconi Ave. and City Park Ave.

If you did not pay for your number to be mailed to you, you can pick up your bib number on Race Day beginnning at 1:30 pm inside the Great Lawn (all you need is your name, no paper receipts requirred), or during Early Number Pick-Up at the Peristyle in City Park from 12:00-5:30pm on Thurs. Dec 5th or Fri. Dec 6th.
A commemorative, glow-in-the-dark, Long-Sleeve T-Shirt is offered to all registered participants. You can pick up your race t-shirt on race day, before or after the race. We will also distribute t-shirts early at Early Number Pick up - but you MUST have your bib number with you to receive a t-shirt. A limited amount of youth size t-shirts have been ordered and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Pre-race Celebration
Dress in Holiday Garb! We will have a Christmas Costume Contest at 2:45pm. A warm up session will follow at 3:00pm. We will also have activities for kids in our Family Fun Zone, starting at 1:00pm and visits with Santa beginning at 2:00pm!
Please also bring a toy to donate to Toys for Tots (new, unwrapped toys only)! We will be collecting toys before and after the race!
The Post-race Celebration
Community Coffee & Hot Chocolate, Michelob Ultra beer, Kentwood water, Gatorade, Blue Runner Foods gumbo and cookies will be available after the race until 5:00 pm ... when the walking tour will begin. Participants will receive complimentary entry into City Park's walking light tour with their BIB number.
Children 3 years or younger
Children riding in strollers who are 3 years or younger DO NOT need to register. However, in order to enter City Park's walking light tour, your child must be wearing a bib number. On Race Day, please pick up an extra BIB number (free of charge) inside the Registration tents, if your child is planning on enterting the light tour after the race. Please note though, this bib number will not include a free t-shirt tab.
We are no longer looking for volunteers at at this race! All Volunteers who signed up will receive a free t-shirt on Race Day, free food/drinks and entrance to the post-race party! Please sign-in at Volunteer Check-in at 1:00pm. Thanks in advance!
